AREA FORUM/WARD GRANTS
Matter for Consideration:
To consider applications under the Area Forum/Ward Grants Schemes.
Information:
The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £20,000 to each Ward and the Area Forums have been awarded budgets equivalent to £7,500 per ward covered for the financial year 2013/2014. The funding for either scheme can be spent on supplementing for funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

Councillors Cain and Jones of Bloomfield Ward have requested:
(i) £3,800 for the purchase and installation of two alley gates on Woodfield Road, to include £275 estimated advertising costs.
(ii) £500 for the purchase and installation of a litter bin at the corner of Shaw Road/Bagot Street.

Councillors Greenhalgh and Hutton of Clifton Ward have requested £2,400 for the purchase and installation of an alley gate on June Avenue, to include £275 estimated advertising costs.

Councillors Hardy and Haynes of Hawes Side Ward have requested £375 funding for the clearing and clean up of an alley way located at Dewhurst Avenue/Watson Road by Blackpool Environmental Action Team (BEAT) Ltd.

Councillors Collett and Matthews of Tyldesley Ward have requested:
(i) £500.00 as a donation to Beechfield Action Group that will allow them to continue with their community building activities.
(ii) £500 as a contribution to Bugs 2 Butterflies Group that will allow them to continue with their community building activities by purchasing a minibus.
(iii) £1,000 as a donation to St John Vianney RC Primary School that will allow them to continue with their community building activities by purchasing and erecting a security fence and new gates.
